Yak bone and rudraksha seeds – two materials with a long history in Tibetan and Nepalese traditions – hold deep spiritual significance. Yak bone has been used in jewellery for centuries as a symbol of victory, life and death, whilst rudraksha has been worn by Buddhists and yogis for thousands of years as an amulet to help maintain clarity of mind during practice. Rudraksha holds an almost sacred significance in Buddhist culture and translates from Sanskrit as ‘the tear of Rudra’ or ‘the eyes of Rudra’ (one of the epithets of the god Shiva). And now these two incredibly symbolic materials are combined in a single stylish bracelet.
